Coastal Towns

The more than three hundred kilometers of Asturian coast, one of the best preserved in Spain, is home to 18 picturesque fishing villages. Its vertical streets, ports, fish markets, and lighthouses still reflect the history linked to the sea and its fishing traditions.
The stone tsunami, the Picos and the Cuera, fall onto the coast in a short distance of just thirty kilometers. But the dizzying descent continues underwater to the depths and submarine canyons of the Cantabrian Sea, abyssal depths, refuge of the kraken, which exceed four thousand meters. This coast and this sea, cliffy and abrupt, dotted with small beaches and coves, belong to the Picos de Europa. A sea of limestone, of rough and cold waters, which give the highest quality to its products.
Just 40 minutes from Llanes, Lastres, declared the Most Beautiful Village in Spain, overlooks the Cantabrian Sea offering the Luces Lighthouse and a gastronomy that combines history and sea.
Later, among dreamlike landscapes and after surrounding the estuary of Villaviciosa, Tazones appears, a small port steeped in history, known for being the starting point of the first voyage to the peninsula of Carlos V.
